CRIME OF THE WEEK for: March 16, 2018
ROBBERY
On March 15th, 2018, Police located a female in distress walking in the 1400 Block of 6th Street. The female advised that she just drove to a residence on Cornell Bay and when she arrived, a male armed with a handgun approached her demanding she get out of the vehicle and give her the keys. The victim complied and the suspect left in the vehicle. Officers located the vehicle a short distance away and attempted a vehicle stop but the vehicle fled at a high rate of speed. Officers pursued the vehicle but decided to discontinue efforts after the suspect reached dangerous speeds and ran several red lights. The stolen vehicle has since been recovered. The suspect is described as male, aboriginal in appearance, wearing red clothing with tattoos on his face.
Police investigation to date has not been able to identify any suspects responsible for this Crime.
