CRIME OF THE WEEK for: May 18, 2018

ARSON

On May 14th at approximately 3:00 a.m., Police and Fire personal responded to a report of a garage and shed on fire at the rear of a residence on Basswood Bay. The fire was extinguished however both the garage and shed sustained significant damage. A witness reported observing two individuals running from the area. One of the suspects is described as 6’ tall and wearing a dark colored hat. No description was provided of the other individual. Investigation to date indicates that an accelerant was used to start the fire.

The investigation continues and to date Police have not been able to identify any suspects.
