“CRIME STOPPERS WANTED” for: December 6th, 2019

 

The Brandon Police Service is seeking the public’s assistance in locating this person who is:

“WANTED BY POLICE”

 David Gillespie BLACK (39 years old )

                                                                    

 

FOR

 

                                                – Possession of a Weapon for Dangerous Purpose X3

                                               – Unauthorized possession of a Prohibited Weapon

   – Breach of Undertaking

  – Fail to Attend Court X2

                                                                                               

On February 22, 2019, BLACK was a passenger in a taxi that was the subject of a traffic stop in the 1800 block of 1st street north. During a search of BLACK’s backpack, a can of bear spray and a cell phone taser was located inside. BLACK was arrested as a result of what was located.

On March 6, 2019, BLACK was the passenger in a motor vehicle that was the subject of a traffic stop in the 000 block of 10th street. During a search of the vehicle, a can of bear spray was located inside. BLACK was arrested as a result of the search and subsequently charged.

BLACK has failed to attend court on both matters and an unendorsed warrant has been issued for his arrest. BLACK is known to be violent and to carry weapons on his person. If BLACK is seen, please do not approach him. Contact police immediately.

Attempts have been made by Police to locate the suspect which have been met with negative results.
