CRIME OF THE WEEK, September 21, 2026

The Brandon Police Service is seeking the public’s assistance in solving a theft of motor vehicle that occurred outside a business in the 700 block of 10th Street on September 19, 2026, at approximately 5:21 p.m.

A blue Kia Seltos was stolen while it was left running with two occupants in the rear seats. The vehicle was driven from the area in an erratic manner, narrowly avoiding several collisions. The driver subsequently became aware that there were occupants in the rear seats and, after being startled, collided with a parked vehicle in the 800 block of Van Horne Avenue.

The female suspect fled the area prior to police arrival. The Brandon Police Service is asking anyone who may have witnessed the incident, observed the vehicle being driven in the area, or has any information that may assist in identifying the suspect to contact police.
